New Challenges on the Urban Periphery

In 2022-23, Dr Juliet Carpenter collaborated on an AHRC-funded project “New Challenges on the Urban Periphery” with Dr Christina Horvath at the University of Bath, and the Paris-based NGO, European Alternatives. The aim of the project was to explore the potential for literary expression to challenge urban stigmatisation in marginal spaces such as the French banlieues. The project took a co-creation approach in the urban periphery, through three events held in Paris in 2023.
